Strategic Content Writing & SEO

Turning search into attention. Attention into trust. Trust into action.

Your customers rarely arrive ready to buy. They arrive with a question.

I write the content that meets them there and gives them a reason to keep moving. From the article they discover through search to the page they read before requesting a demo, I create content that helps the right people find you, understand you, trust you, and eventually choose you.

Because getting found matters. But what happens after the click is where content starts doing business.

Finance. Fintech. HR. HR Tech. Business.

Research-led content for companies that need to be understood, not just discovered.

Why Me

I understand the numbers. I know how to find the story.

Most writers who work in technical industries have to learn one side or the other. I came with both.

I studied Accounting at university, so financial statements, business models, corporate language and the logic behind the numbers don't make my eyes glaze over.

Then I went into journalism, writing for a national newspaper where the job was very different: walk into a complicated subject, ask better questions, sift through documents and competing accounts, separate what matters from what doesn't, verify what you're saying, and explain it so someone who wasn't in the room can understand it.

Today, I bring both instincts to content. The accountant in me helps me understand what you're saying. The journalist in me helps me find what the reader needs to hear. And my experience in SEO and commercial content helps me connect the two to what people are actually searching for and what your business needs them to do next.

The result is content with substance behind it.

  • No padding an article to hit a word count.
  • No jargon masquerading as expertise.
  • No rewriting the same five articles already ranking on Google.

Just well-researched, original content that respects the reader's intelligence without assuming they have your expertise.

The Content Journey

Getting found is only the first job.

A ranking isn't a relationship, and traffic isn't trust. Between discovering your company and choosing it, your reader may search, compare, read, leave, come back, question your claims, look at competitors and try to decide who actually understands their problem. Your content is doing business in all of those moments.

01

Search

Get discovered. You show up when the right person is actively looking for an answer.

02

Attention

Earn the read. The search result may earn the click. The quality of the thinking earns the next few minutes.

03

Trust

Earn consideration. Useful, well-researched content demonstrates expertise before a sales conversation ever begins.

04

Action

Move something forward. A demo. An enquiry. A return visit. A subscription. A place on the shortlist.

Not every piece of content should sell. But every piece should know what job it's doing.

What I Do

Content built around the job it needs to do.

01

SEO & Blog Content

Get found for the questions your customers are already asking. Then give them an answer worth finding.

Search gives you access to a moment of intent. I research what your audience is searching for, why they're searching for it, and what they actually need when they arrive. Then I create content that answers the question properly while establishing your company as a credible source on the subject. Because ranking earns you the opportunity. The content still has to earn the reader.

02

Editorial & Thought Leadership

Don't just add to the conversation. Have something worth saying.

There is already more content online than anyone has time to read. The answer isn't more of the same. I research deeply enough to find the useful angle: the insight, explanation, argument or connection that gives someone a reason to spend their time with your content rather than the ten other articles competing for the same click. The goal isn't to sound knowledgeable. It's to make knowledge useful.

03

Website & Landing Page Copy

Once they find you, make it easy to understand why they should stay.

By the time someone reaches your website, the questions have changed. What exactly do you do? Is this for a company like mine? Do you understand the problem I'm trying to solve? Why should I believe you? What should I do next? Your website shouldn't make visitors work for those answers. I turn complex products, services and propositions into copy that makes your value easier to understand, your expertise easier to trust, and the next step easier to take.

Full-Funnel Content Strategy

Give every piece of content a job.

Publishing consistently isn't a strategy. Neither is filling an editorial calendar with keywords. Different readers need different things depending on where they are in the buying journey. I map content around the questions, concerns and decisions that appear as a potential customer moves from awareness to understanding, consideration and decision. Together, those pieces become more than a collection of articles. They become a path through your expertise.

Content Refreshes & On-Page SEO

Sometimes the best next article is one you've already written.

Publishing more isn't always the answer. You may already have valuable content that's buried under weak structure, targeting yesterday's search intent, missing important information or simply not doing justice to the subject anymore.

I review existing content to identify where stronger search alignment, structure, clarity, internal linking, relevance and depth can give it another chance to perform. Then I update, restructure or rewrite where necessary.

Because a strong content library should become more valuable over time, not simply bigger.

LinkedIn & Founder Content — Add-on

When the expertise has a face.

Your company's expertise doesn't only live on its website. Sometimes the person with the strongest point of view is the person running it. For businesses that want their corporate content and leadership voice working together, I extend the same research-led approach to LinkedIn.

The raw material is usually already there: conversations, presentations, customer calls, podcast appearances, opinions, observations and years of experience that haven't yet made it onto the page. I find the ideas worth developing and turn them into content that sounds like the person whose name appears above it.

How I Think About Content

The standard behind the work.

Research before writing.

If I don't understand the subject, I'm not ready to explain it.

Clarity before cleverness.

The reader should notice the idea before they notice the writing.

Useful before optimized.

Search may bring someone through the door. Usefulness gives them a reason to stay.

Specific before impressive.

Precise language builds more credibility than a paragraph full of corporate adjectives.

Original before abundant.

The internet doesn't need another article saying what the first ten already said.

Purpose before publication.

Before asking what we should write, I want to know what the content needs to accomplish. Content without a job is just inventory.

How I Work

A simple process that protects your time and the quality of the work.

Clear inputs. Thoughtful research. Strong drafts. Fewer unnecessary meetings.

01 · DISCOVER

Understand the job.

We start with the audience, business objective, offer, existing content and what the piece needs to accomplish.

02 · RESEARCH

Get beneath the surface.

I research the subject, search intent, competitors and source material until I understand both the topic and the reader's real question.

03 · WRITE

Find the clearest route through.

I shape the angle, structure the argument and write for clarity, usefulness, voice and commercial purpose.

04 · REFINE

Make it publication-ready.

You review. I revise where needed. The final piece is polished, aligned and ready for the channel it was built for.

Selected Work

The writing should make the case.

Selected work across fintech, HR tech, B2B and digital products. Different audiences and different objectives, but the same job: understand the subject, find what matters, and write with a clear purpose.

Booking

Your next piece of content could already be taking shape.

If you're building in finance, fintech, HR, HR tech or another knowledge-heavy space and need content that can do more than fill a calendar, let's talk.

What to bring

A little context is enough. Before we speak, send whatever you already have. It doesn't need to be polished.

  • What your company does
  • Who the content needs to reach
  • What you want the content to accomplish
  • Any existing brief, page, article or strategy
  • Your preferred timeline
